Ricardo is an expert in the Investment Fund industry. In 2009, he was Director of Quantitative Evolution Fund Limited, a Hedge Fund with a currency arbitrage strategy, incorporated in the British Virgin Islands. Also, from 2010 to the present, he has been a partner of E-Compliance S.A., to provide Due Diligence to Real Estate Investment Funds, established in Santiago de Chile. In 2011 and 2012, he had participation in the Principal Financial Group Company of Santiago, Chile, a trading agent of Mutual Funds.
He completed a PhD Program at the University of Los Andes in Santiago de Chile. Through this experience, he was able to learn how extensive and varied the Investment Fund industry is. His research topic is "Legal Regime of Hedge Funds to diversify financial platforms in Central America", which aims to update and change the way in which Investment Fund issues are handled in El Salvador and the rest of Central America. Also, he is a lawyer and a Notary Public of the Republic of El Salvador, a title he obtained at the Dr. José Matías Delgado University.
In 2013 he created Renta Asset Management S.A. de C.V., a Salvadorean company that is dedicated to structuring, managing, marketing, distributing, and advising on the investment fund industry at a national and regional level. One of the objectives of his company is to gain access in El Salvador to non-traditional forms of financing and investment for new projects, but very common in financially more sophisticated markets in order to create a financial revolution in Central America.
His leadership, passion for research and knowledge have influenced his way of connecting with other professionals worldwide, creating strategic alliances in the investment fund industry. Due to this, he obtained the exclusive representation for the Central American and Caribbean region of fund managers and specialized companies, from countries such as Switzerland-Chile, United Kingdom, Monaco, Peru, Chile and Colombia, which supports the experience in this industry of long-standing in the world, but incipient in El Salvador.
Ricardo was also a lecturer and panelist in various national media through tools such as television, radio, print media and the internet, through which he can share his extensive knowledge about the Investment Fund industry, mainly for Central America. He has always been delighted to transmit special information to others, a characteristic that he acquired as a professor at several universities in El Salvador, including the Dr. José Matías Delgado University.
He is also an active member in the social and economic issues of the country, an area that he was able to develop thanks to his experience as president of the committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vice President of the National Minimum Wage Council, Delegate of the Private Sector in Conference before the Organization International Labor (ILO) and as First President of the American Council for Young Political Leaders, El Salvador chapter, an organization sponsored by the Democratic and Republican Parties of the United States.
